For nearly 40 years, EFTA has been a constant in an ever changing field providing its members leadership and the opportunity to help shape legislation and regulation that govern the electronic payments industry.

EFTA’s credibility with Congress and the Executive Agencies has been carefully cultivated by striving to provide honest, objective information that represents the consensus of a cross section of the entire payments industry.

Since 1977, EFTA has represented its members on a variety of issues. These have included:
