Mike Tyson bitcoin ATM unveiled

 In News

Mike Tyson recently unveiled his bitcoin ATM at Las Vegas on Sept. 24, according to a report by the New York Post. This is the first in a line of 100 ATMs.

These bitcoin ATMs were developed as part of a partnership between Tyson and Peter Klamka, CEO of Bitcoin Direct. Klamka chose Tyson for the deal because he was an internationally recognized celebrity. Tyson already had some interest in bitcoin, according to the report, so Klamka was able to explain the mechanics of the machine to him.

“All I had to do was talk him through the mechanics of how an ATM works,” Klamka said. “From there it was contract to installation in eight weeks.”

Although there has been some doubt over whether this deal was legitimate due to Klamka’s past odd business deals, the bitcoin ATM deal appears to be moving forward.
