FNB of Pennsylvania, Fiserv intro card control module for mobile banking app

First National Bank of Pennsylvania, the largest subsidiary of FNB Corp., has upgraded to the latest version of Fiserv Mobiliti Advantage mobile banking and payments platform from Fiserv Inc., adding a new module that enables mobile card control capability.

The bank is the first Mobiliti client to integrate the card control module into its mobile app, a Fiserv press release said.

The new feature allows users to control access to their debit card in real time and receive alerts related to card use via their mobile banking app.

Additionally, the module lets customers set transaction dollar limits, establish parameters for debit card use by merchant type and geographic location, and turn their card on and off — all from their banking app.

According to the release, Fiserv also offers a touch ID module for biometric login to mobile banking, as well as a marketing and communication module that allows banks to deliver targeted messaging within their mobile app.

“Adding new capabilities via modules gives customers access to new capabilities more quickly, and gives financial institutions like First National Bank the flexibility to offer a customized selection of mobile tools that meet the needs of their customers and allow them to stand out in a crowded market,” said Kevin Schultz, president of digital banking at Fiserv.
