ATMIA US conference sets new attendance record
The ATM Industry Association set a new record for attendance at its annual U.S. conference in Las Vegas last week, attracting 1,129 industry executives from all sectors of the industry, according to a press release.
The association said it was the first time in the 19-year history of the conference that attendance had broken the 1,100 mark.
“Our event just keeps growing year on year, attracting banks, IADs, as well as vendors, suppliers, processors, etc., across the whole ATM value chain,” aid David Tente, executive director for ATMIA USA, said in the release.
Highlights of the event included an industry commitment for the association to manage a 10-step project to implement a global blueprint for next-generation ATMs. The cross-industry coalition’s 100 members have already signed off on an API app model for ATMs, the release said.
ATMIA US Conference 2019 is already slated for Feb. 19–21 at the Disney Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida. The association said the conference will include a Next-Gen ATM Summit Town Hall meeting to update the industry on progress toward a new operating standard.
