H.R. 7 – Paycheck Fairness Act (Rep. DeLauro – Education and Labor) This legislation would make changes to the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 to provide for remedies to victims of discriminatory practices based on sex stereotypes, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, and sex characteristics. It would also make it unlawful to require and employee to sign a contract or waiver prohibiting the employee from disclosing wage information.

H.R. 1195 – Workplace Violence Prevention for Health Care and Social Service Workers Act (Rep. Courtney – Education and Labor) This legislation would direct the Secretary of Labor to issue an occupational safety and health

standard that requires covered employers within the health care and

social service industries to develop and implement a comprehensive workplace violence prevention plan, and for other purposes.
